The Deerfoot Studios Web site has been designed and built using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) rather than tables. CSS is emerging as a standard for Web page design because it allows more flexibility than complex tables.
While this part of the site is being constructed, please visit the following Web sites that I've designed — and then close that window to return here.
First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter — This is my most recent site. It's purpose is to let newcomers know about the church and to keep the congregation informed about what is happening. This is the first time I've incorporated a database driven calendar — by modifying Craig Knudsen's free WebCalendar (www.k5n.us).
Moody Point Association — This site is a redesign of the site for the condo association where we now live. It contains informaiton for residents as well as prospective residents.
Acupuncture Plus — This site is intended to be an extended brochure which will let potential clients know the variety of services and classes available.
Deerfoot Publications — This is a site I designed to sell a book which my husband wrote and I designed and prepared for printing. What fun to share our talents and travels on a project together!
Transitions Liquidation Services — This site is intended to be an extended brochure which will let potential clients know what services are provided.
Women's Business Network — This is a pro bono site for a group of which I was a long-time member. As my second site (after Deerfoot Publications) it was a wonderful learning experience. This site allows members to get updates on events and gives prospective members a sense of the organization. It also provides brief summaries on the 80 members and links to member sites. Since we moved the site is now being maintained by Lisa Marble of Rose and Marble Designs.
Personal — The following 2 pages were set up to show friends some trip photos. They show two different ways of presenting photos.
Tuscany04 has a home page that shows an example of medium-size thumbnails that link to larger photos. All photo pages are linked to each other with a number line at the top and forward and backward arrows.
VH_workshop_04 is an example of a simple page built using frames with small thumbnails on the left which, when clicked, show a larger photo to the right. These photos were from a watercolor workshop I took near Boothbay Harbor, Maine. There is no narrative with them because they were originally put up to share with the others in the group.
